First there seems to be a limited market for high end.

If Willy is really better then folks will gladly pay $500-800 for the CPU.

After that the market seems very murky.

Once we get to the value play, it seems very Mhz oriented.

Athlon may not be much better than cumine in performance and Mhz.

I can see a real squeeze play if that happens.

I certainly hope that AThlon will keep competitive in the Mhz race. If it can then theres real hope.

I am still long AMD.

But I have my ears open and fingers on the trigger for a misstep.

The lack of SMP as promised by Q4 worries me.

Relying upon VIA for chipsets terrifies me. If they were pushing SIS or ALI I would feel much better.

And the lack of dresden ramp is the other major worry.
