I am beginning to believe that Gent is a true financial genius. The mark of a good merger is the creation of shareholder value. Who would have thought, when the tender offer was made in response to Mannesmann's Orange purchase, that so much shareholder value would be created! Given the runup of VOD and Mannesmann share values, I don't see how this tender offer will fail.
