Need help before I do a partial restore in frustration!!!
Running W98 (HP proprietry) and in doing a simple task, changed something that will not let me save wav files and then simply click the icon (speaker) for instant playback. Have gone into a second computer and entered 'My Computer', view, folder options tab, and then file types. Scrolled to 'wave sound' (with speaker icon).

Long story short is that on edit file type, I can't get Content type (MIME) to scroll and produce "audio/wav" - it's not there and will not give the other default settings (have tried that too). Have called others running MS W98 and different proprietary versions - all have this "audio/wave".

There must be an easier solution then a partial restore - help and thanks.
