Terry, I think Kaufman may overrate Greenspan's intelligence. But with the last T-Bill auction at the highest rate in 5 years and the govt. selling more Bills in the mix, the vigilantes could eventually force AG to add a barb to his spineless jellyfish persona. Also, no matter what AG does, rates are way up for corporate paper. If he slows bank liquidity, even a little bit, that will cut off cheap funding for the mergers and other gambling activities moving this market.
