Toronto, Canada - February 2, 2000 -- 724 Solutions Inc. is pleased to
confirm that its common shares opened for trading today on The Toronto Stock Exchange under the new symbol SVN.

As announced yesterday in TSE Bulletin
2000-0114 (replacement of Bulletin 2000-0109), common shares had commenced
trading on the exchange on an if, as and when issued basis last Friday Jan.
28, 2000 under the symbol SVN.W, and concluded trading under this symbol at
the close on Tuesday Feb. 1, 2000.

Trading today under the symbol SVN reflects the fact that 724 Solution
Inc.'s initial public offering closed this morning and has cleared all
regulatory approvals. The company's common shares have been posted for
trading at the opening today under normal settlement terms.
