I cannot believe that McCain would get the nomination. It is clear that McCain is so insecure that he needs to buy media adulation by forsaking his conservative "convictions". Nixon did it and we were worse for it. GHWB did it (less for adulation and more because he didn't have the backbone) and it was a disaster. McCain gives every indication of being far worse than either of them. We can hope, but I find it doubtful that he would do much to disappoint his best Media friends. The genuine surprise of NH was Bradley's near upset of a sitting VP.
