Stan, Herb and Bill,

If looking up information for a response to a type II poster is something you enjoy doing, then obviously you aren't being victimized by the poster. If one's attitude is as Stan said, "it makes the experience a bit more satisfying", then perhaps we need to leave the type II protocol as is.

My question however, is this...is it best to not respond at all to a type II poster in the absence of providing accurate information, data or references ourselves? That's what the type II protocol seems to imply.

I'd appreciate opinions on this point.

Thanks,

Ice
