I responded to an offer for a new magazine in November called Technology Investor. It's free if you provide very basic information regarding income, age, interests, and investing experience. Evidently, they can get better rates from advertisers by showing specific demographics and readership.
Anyway, I got the first issue on Monday, and it was pretty good. It got even better when I got to the article on how integrated circuits are manufactured from crystal growing, to substrate, to etching, etc. It was informative to a layperson like myself. (The whole magazine is written for the the lay person). The best part was when they got into the newest kind of gallium and SiC processes. Obviously, in talking about SiC, the focus was totally on CREE. In fact, there is a sidebar regarding the development of blue lasers and their use with DVDs.
