After Adam, a sinner sins not because he makes mistake, a miscalculation of discerning between right and wrong but rather he sins because he is a sinner. A person not saved has no choice but to sin...it's his nature. Someone not born again of the Spirit does not possess the ability to not sin.

Recall the story of Abraham and Abimelech. Abimelech told God "in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this". In turn God replies, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart: for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her". Gen 20:5-6

There is none righteous no not one...

All have turned aside...
