Lewis, I believe that the Bible is the, ultimate, guide book, and instruction manual, on how a human being should live his life. Of course, none of us are perfect, and do not follow all of the instructions to the letter, but the author of the book is gracious, beyond words, and allows us to start the process all over again with the knowledge that we have not ruined to project. Can anyone ask for more? Not I. I read, and appreciated, the post from shalom, and you, about foregoing the combat against non-believers, pagans, and atheists. That is, really, a difficult thing to do, and I, for one, must try harder to follow the instructions in the book. It reminds me of the words to a gospel song:
" You've got to try a little kindness, show a little kindness, shine your light for everyone to see. And if you show a little kindness, you'll overlook the blindness, of those narrow minded people on their narrow minded street."
The CD I have of that is done by the Oakridge Boys, and I drive down the street with it blaring to overpower the boomers in other cars.
