while we can accept all these projections as pure estimates, I think the validity and usefullness has changed substantially with the introduction of HDR and who knows what else they are working on in Sorrento Mesa.

In the next few years, and certainly by 2004, there should be an explosion of all kinds of wireless devices which are not even on the drawing board today.

I suspect the Strategis Group report is based on a model of vertical cellphone growth. Who knows? In a few years, we may all be carry sometype of TCD (total communication device) that voice is just a minor feature.

Finally, what is GSM? Isn't that just a generic name but not a technology such as CDMA and TDMA? In theory, Europe can keep their beloved GSM name while the current TDMA based system would all be replaced by some type of 3G w-cdma by then.

I guess my point is that if we use this type of model to place a value on QC, we may very far off the mark.
