JW,

"Other question, you only need 1 NIC card in each computer to network two computers together. Using a crossover cable. More than two computers requires a hub. In Master computer (Server) you only need 1 NIC, the other card is not called a NIC, rather a Modem Card, either Cable or Dial Up."

Thanks for the feedback. If i understand you correctly, you're saying that I need 2 NICs plus 1 Modem Card which in my case is also a NIC. That's a total of 3 NICs for a 2 computer setup running off of a cable modem.

My original question was if it was possible to use only 2 NICs in this configuration. I guess the answer would be no??

Regards,

Sue :)
