<Jerry and the boys better get the XEROX machines warmed up so they can copy these new Willamette Processor New Instructions !!!>

So, you don't think some of these were added *after* AMD announced new DSP instructions in June?

<Willamette will be supported by a new chips set, code-named Tehama, which will support Rambus Direct RAM with a high-performance bus, ..>

That should put to rest the speculation from a few folks about RDRAM ;-)
<Not to be outdone, sources say that Advanced Micro Devices Inc. will set up shop across town in Palm Springs to brief developers and press on its own latest efforts. >

Wonder what AMD will be demonstrating. 900MHz, 1G, 1.2G, 1.4G?

<While the Pentium III chip will reach 1GHz in the second half, so will Athlon. AMD is currently sampling a 900MHz Athlon processor. The company will also reach 1GHz with Athlon in the second half. >

How can someone even believe that 900MHz are being sampled now but 1G will be "second half"?
