Picture yourself with 100+ channels on satellite or cable. By the time you surf for a program, it would be over. You need a program guide, so you can sort programs by type (sports/soap operas/movies/etc) you are interested in. And if you can program your vcr at the same time using the guide, just by clicking on a program, any self respecting couch potato would love it.

Interactive program guides are available NOW. They are being built into upper end tv's, vcrs, and set top boxes. Check them out at Circuit City. These guides will come with advertising banners, and the ability to make purchases through your tv. It's being called t-commerce.

Now the best part: Gemstar owns almost all of the ipr on ipg's! It's the Q of t-commerce! I'd suggest you do some dd on this beauty.
