EriQ: You are absolutely correct about cdmaOne accounting for less market share than GSM UMTS systems in 2005. However, groups like Strategis failed to account for the fact that the air interface for UMTS will be CDMA. A VOD customer today in Europe is the same thing as a UMTS based CDMA customer in the next five years. However, it would not be politically correct for these non independent thinkers to issue a report paid by industry leaders such as Nokia (just an example) that GSM will be non existant in 5 years.
