[Winstar Announces Three-For-Two Stock Split]

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2000--WINSTAR COMMUNICATIONS, INC. today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a three-for-two stock split of the company's common stock, which will be effected in the form of a 50% stock dividend. The new shares will be distributed on March 2, 2000, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on February 16, 2000.
