I guess I need to buy better clothes. I've had latex go through a tee shirt and enamel soak through jeans. However, would paint have been likely in the years between 30 and 1000 AD? Wouldn't it be more of a water based dye? Is the paint idea that someone found an old cloth and touched it up later say 1600?

I feel like the Shroud is in the league of water stains that appear on walls and are worshipped.
