Excellent application ! With the merging of Health systems and hospitals, VOD can provide a wealth of Standard information and entertainment to patients, families, nurses, doctors and students.

Example: Patient has to have a Bypass operation.

So the doctor calls up the informative video from the Mediahawk server. Explains the operation with the patient and what is to be expected as far as recovery.

Patient checks into hospital, and views the video with family and caregivers at his leisure. Decides he wants to watch archived ER episodes for kicks. Has operation, and views video on "How to keep your Heart Healthy". After kicks back and calls up a good video to relax to.

Meanwhile... interns,nurses and doctors are viewing Bypass operation video as part of their bi-monthly training and certification.

Example: Delivering your new Baby!

Before delivery they call up C-Section or natural delivery video for new Mom and Dad to watch. Before delivery, get Mom relaxed by watching " Three men and a Baby". After delivery order up "Caring for your Newborn" and " How to Breast Feed"

Just the tip of the iceberg, in delivering Standard, quality , healthcare and entertainment to everyone. I love it !
