Briefing.com reports that MU consensus estimate for this quarter is 0.27 cents. And to think some "analysts" were calling for $15 per share for 1997. I am wondering how many of these are still gainfully employed. Cause, if I was management, I would be real pissed at the lack of foresight and inability to read the future trends. Oh, what a downfall it has been! The only one to correctly predict this was Rick Whittington - I grudgingly admit. I was real mad when he first came out with his negative views on MU and other semis thinking here is another analyst who is manipulating the stock. Well, if there was any such hanky panky, it may have been fund managers who were talking up the stock while quietly unloading. But all is not gloom - as Sir John Templeton said, "The best time to buy is when there is blood on the street and some of that may be your own!" So, guys, any thoughts on earnings? How much? What impact this might have?
