Another way to invest in fuel cell technology is via the fuel itself. Various fuels can be used but an essential requirement is purity. I suggest you check out Rentech(RNTK) as a speculative buy. After many years of research and an excellent patent portfolio they are near to producing suitable fuels using the Fischer-Tropsch refining method. Using this method diesel fuel of unheard of purity can be produced, this contains considerably more energy than say methanol and is much safer to use than hydrogen.
