CNBC reported this AM that the deal was done, and that VOD s/h will control 50.5% of the company and that Esser is out. Mannesmann BOD expected to approve the deal this afternoon. The exchange rate will be 58.8 VOD for each Mannesmann share. Further report that the weakness in the stock has to do with arbs readjusting their positions to short more VOD and European funds needing to lighten up on VOD holdings. CTC
