Enterworks Appoints Bill Welch as Vice President of E-Alliance Group; Seasoned Executive to Lead New Organization for E-business Portal and Marketplace Partnerships

ASHBURN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2000--Enterworks(SM), Inc., the leading provider of real-time cataloging and process automation solutions for enterprise portals and e-marketplaces, today announced the appointment of Bill Welch to vice president of the E-Alliance Group, Enterworks' partnership organization for e-solutions integrators and B2B marketplace makers. In this role, Welch will leverage his extensive knowledge of cataloging and process automation to define the E-Alliance Group's strategy and partnerships.

The E-Alliance Group is focused on providing Enterworks' partners with enabling technologies their customers require for successful portals and net marketplaces. Welch's ten years of database and application server experience provide him with the expertise to successfully recruit, enable, develop and manage Enterworks' E-Alliance partnerships. Prior to his appointment as vice president, Welch served as director of civilian and public sector sales at Enterworks.

Welch also served as regional manager for NetDynamics, an applications server company, where he focused on commercial sales and marketing.
