Perhaps Lorne missed the point I was trying to make: that is is possible that a company such as FN could spend a little "political capital" in order to achieve their business objectives, and all under the guise of Federal Government concern for the environment and First Nations. A one year delay of permits for Diavik would play into FN's hand. FN has stated their intentions. Now we are just talking price, and needless to say, FN will want the price as low as possible. A delay in issuing permits leading to another one year delay in the project would certainly help lower the price would it not?
