Dell introduces all-in-one notebook computer Thu Feb 03 11:43:00 EST 2000 FEB 3, 2000, M2 Communications - Dell Computer Corp has introduced the Inspiron 5000, a notebook product designed for consumers and small business users who need an all-in-one system without sacrificing performance. The Inspiron 5000 offers a choice of Intel processors, including a 650MHz Pentium III processor with SpeedStep technology as well as standard Pentium III and Celeron processors. Customers can also choose a hi-resolution 15" SXGA+ display, which allows the viewing of 87% more information than standard XGA screens. The notebook, which is just 38mm thick and weighs from 3.06kg, also features an integrated floppy disk drive, an internal modem, a hard disk drive and a media options bay. Prices begin from GBP1,499+VAT.
