That is no longer true, at least to the extent that it used to be. And that is exactly my point.

For dell, NOT maintaining inventory was "the kiss of death" last quarter.

Maybe I should putt it this way, IMO Dell's model is not nearly as advantages when the supply chain is struggling to meet demand.

This is complete nonsense. Fab utilization for 0.25 and 0.18 is running at 100% around the globe. The equipment manufacturers have very long lead time for delivery. Where is this extra capacity going to come from? You can't built fabs without equipment.

For the past 3 years there has been a major over supply problem in the component market, and that worked right into Dell's strength. That is no longer the case, nor do I expect it to be the case in the near future going forward.

I still think Dell is the best boxmaker and a good buy in the mid 30's.
