What to expect in this coming year?

Not much different. The internet is coming of age. It is an inexpensive way to do business by the net with high speed computers. It is paperless. It uses a minimum of people. And it is extremely competitive; making prices and availability very attractive.

The problem is warehousing to deliver just in time. Currently, the software to tie the warehouse inventory to the internet e-commerce is not perfected yet. Even though Walmart just completed the new web site with 6 times the products they have in their stores. They are going to use their vendors' warehouses for delivery to their stores for their customers.

If you look at the tracer ability of UPS; you would understand how e-commerce would be very successful indeed. Some day this kind of freight from abroad in containers would also be practical.

E-commerce will be taking off this year, except for the shipments around the world. Ship building may take couple of years yet.
