Weaving A Tangled Web -- Net Shepherd In Case of Mistaken Identity
CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2000--(CDNX:WEB. - news)
Net Shepherd Inc.(CDNX: WEB - news) announced today that it has no connection with Webraska Mobile technologies, which issued an announcement yesterday carrying the symbol WEB.
``We've had quite a few calls about this announcement,' explained Peter Hunt, Net Shepherd's Vice President of Corporate Affairs. ``Webraska provide real-time traffic information, maps and navigation on mobile phones. They are not publicly traded and the WEB symbol seems to be a reference to their stand at an exhibition in France and nothing to do with a stock exchange.'
``Net Shepherd's combination of Distributed Task Forces and an Internet Community Management System will be providing a range of high-speed, lost-cost, paradigm-breaking information services for businesses,' said Hunt, ``but updating 26 maps of Paris' most congested locations isn't one of them.'
Background Notes:
Net Shepherd's technology helps companies that want to transform the way they do business and create new opportunities using the Internet. It uniquely uses an Internet-based community of Distributed Task Forces to provide the gathering of information and the management of work at the speed of the Internet.
Net Shepherd develops, partners with and invests in companies that use this technology in a variety of different applications.
Net Shepherd Inc. is traded on the Canadian Venture Exchange under the symbol WEB.
