Frank, I'm not sure I understand what you intend by "baseband digital signalling"... Fiber to the curb, and then separate copper to several homes, or baseband on the coax with homes tapped off in the manner of ethernet? I understand full well the technical issues of the signals and signal processing involved just not the end network topology you have in mind.
