Although I've never been a big fan of the revenue potential of smart guns, your Rocky Mountain sampling doesn't represent the whole country. The governor of Maryland, for instance, has made smart gun legislation a top, if not the top, priority of his administration. And if it gets into a Bill Clinton State of the Union speech, you can be pretty sure it played well with key focus groups. Back East we aren't as married to guns as Westerners.
Nevertheless . . . it will be a small specialty market.
As to all the posted frustration about the gains in other biometric stocks -- it doesn't take nearly as much to move those stocks, up or down, as it does this one. How many of you think those stocks are going to keep to this price level given their underlying business prospects? (By the way, my last real buy here was last April at $6.25 -- and I was ticked I missed my $5.50 target by 20-30 minutes. So this stock has gone up, too, from its lows.)
I just view these moves as evidence that the sector is getting hot, and IDX has a better chance of takeoff on good news now that it has had in a while. Seems like Rob is getting that feeling too, if he can just stop bottom fishing for once. Rob, you've given up on $6.50 stock? What's in your charts? |
