Hi all,

Are we having fun yet? ;-) Sure beats the heck out of the teens no? :-)

Have been working on peseta exchange rates... and valuations from the Bolsa ... sheesh .. numbers are listed in billions of pesetas... now is that American billions or British billions (our trillions) ?... euros are much better... I might get the hang of this yet! :-)

Latin America does seem to have xDSL potential..
For anyone interested, here is the Radiotronica press release (in Spanish and only available as pdf... much more interesting than the Orckit version) :

My favorite part (translation):

"The objective of the companies [Radiotronica/Orckit] is to supply at least 20 % of this market (about 16 million units, in very conservative terms) and obtain income, in the next seven years of at least $3 billion..."

Radiotronica ... Sounds like a lead-in to Telefonica to me. Next stop Brasil?

Next week is ORCT earnings (a little ?late?), my guess is restructuring (in a goooood way)... Maybe more

If any ADSL subscriber in Brasil is reading this and can tell us the brand of the modem they are using, it would be much appreciated.. (have my suspicions)

If we hit 100, just might make the trip down Rio de Janeiro way... and find out for myself.. :-)
