So you think AMD made a million Athlons and had 400k on hand at the end of the quarter? Check, it was a lot less than that.
Typically AMD has about 600K-1M chips on hand at the end of a quarter. I believe they had a lot less than that last Q. Any inventory they had is now gone. Motherboard shortages may have been responsible for what Athlons they did have.
I doubt very seriously that AMD has any excess inventory at this time, especially with Intel not being able to supply high speed coppermines. To think otherwise would be pure FUD-passing.
