Robert,
OK I will proceed. Remember I am proving my point slowly, with reason, so have patience!
We have agreed about these 3 points, based on scripture:
1. God lives outside of time: 2. God also shows us two, distinct, different ways we are given salvation: 3. God is not a liar, and is perfect, so everything he says must be true:
The next step is to reconcile, how #2 can be true, salvation by predestination and faith at the same time. You and I believe in salvation by predestination and faith, as evidenced by these two posts:

We both agree that faith is a gift of God as well as evidenced by this post by myself:

The only disagreement left, up to this point, is that I believe that our having faith is based on the free will to choose whether to accept this gift from God or not. You think faith is given by God, without us having the ability to choose whether to accept it or not? Your belief is faith is given to us as the result of our being chosen by God, and by nothing we can do ourselves. Is this true?
My basis is off this statement you made previously, "My point being Steve that God Chooses us when we are dead in our sin and out of that choosing we are made alive, repent and choose God. I believe that is the true Gospel delivered unto the Saints of old."
I will stop here so you may tell me if my statement about what you believe is true or false.
To go on and prove my point, we need to get this straightened out. If we can not iron this out, then my proceeding is senseless. You will see why.....
God Bless, Steve |
