Here's some Hard news, thankx joe Update from Helen

Msg: 7758 of 7758Talked to Helen ....
1. Steve Lee has not left the company. Helen joked that she was
surprised to hear he had left the company since she had just talked to
him shortly before I called.
2. December quarter end numbers will be out in the next 7-10 days.
3. I asked for a rough headcount on the number of flat-rate subscribers
who are on board. She said she cannot release that information. However,
she added that the quarterly numbers will reflect a substantial increase
for FNet.
4. Circuits are being still being installed
which is throttling back their ability to bring customers on board. They
are working with 3 vendors for additional circuits. If I understood her
correctly, they have sufficient capacity coming into Westlake; the
problem is the capacity going out.
5. She confirmed that Telefreedom is no longer marketing for FCM, but
DMI and two other firms have customers who are waiting to sign up for
service once the capacity is available.
6. They are talking with underwriters about the FNet IPO. According to
Helen, FCM management is in favor of distributing FNet shares to FCM
shareholders, but the underwriters have to agree to it. She said
distributing shares has not been an issue with any underwriters so far.
7. On the hardware side, they are working with the customer who placed
the $2.1M order to finalize configurations. Only a half dozen units for
the order were shipped in December.
The customer's technicians and the FCM technicians are close to
finalizing the hardware configuration. The remainder of the order will
then begin to ship.
8. There have been other hardware sales. Some to repeat buyers as well
as some new buyers. I got the impression most have been modest sized
orders. There is one particular deal they continue to pursue which would
definitely be construed as a major deal.
That's it for now ....
