Robert Gintel: Welcome to the Cube thread. I find it interesting reading the viewpoints of a professional investor and I'm sure that likewise you find our post interesting.

I personally have had trouble understanding the short position in Cube
especially over the past six months. Perhaps you would willing to shed
some light on this subject.

The thing that sticks in my craw is that I really don't understand the
fundamental reasoning that flickers inside the shorts head. When I
look at Cube's balance sheet I see a growing company with earnings
stability. When I look closer at the numbers I see a company that is
undervalued. For example this company touts a low PE, and a PEG
number of about .44 which suggest that at today's prices Cube is
selling at less than half fair value. I can understand the short interest
at higher prices, but I'm experiencing difficulty understanding the
reasoning at the current lackluster prices.

It seems to me that with the thousands of stocks to choose from to
play short. Why pick a company with such a stiff necked balance
sheet, and a company with such explosive earnings potential? Where
do the shorts expect the price to land at $3.00/share? I'm not currently shorting any stocks, but if I was, I think I could do a better job of finding a viable short, and I wouldn't be looking at companies like Cube.

good luck c-ya!
