Tax/trader resource:

I'm looking for resources on taxes and trading. The SI thread is not that great. Anyone here got any gems? How do the pros track this stuff? Needless to say, all three of my brokerages year end reports were NOT helpful.

I had all my trades tracked in a spreadsheet. Very detailed. Unfortunately I lost it in a computer reformat. Ouch. I also use Quicken to track my portfolio but have not found the taxes on trades module helpful. Maybe I'm not doing it right?
