This announcement seemed to goose the stock a bit today:

Hummingbird Enterprise Information Portal to be included in SuSE Linux distribution

Hummingbird becomes first software vendor to include an enterprise
information portal in a Linux distribution

TORONTO, Feb. 3 /CNW/ - Hummingbird Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ:HUMC,
TSE:HUM), a world-leading enterprise software company, and SuSE, a leading
provider of open source solutions, today announced that the Hummingbird EIP
(Enterprise Information Portal) core engine will be included in SuSE's Linux
distribution. This agreement further enhances Hummingbird's presence in the
quickly expanding Linux solutions market, which is also an essential component
of the company's overall EIP strategy.
"We're very pleased that Hummingbird's strong relationship with SuSE has
now expanded into the portal arena," said Hummingbird President Barry Litwin.
"The inclusion of the Hummingbird EIP core engine in the SuSE Linux
distribution provides organizations with a head start to deploy enterprise
information portals on the high-performance Linux platform."
"We chose to partner with Hummingbird because of its long history as a
trusted enterprise software solution provider for Fortune 1000/Global 2000
organizations, as well as the Hummingbird EIP's functionality and flexibility.
We view this agreement as a very exciting opportunity for both vendors," said,
Dirk Hohndel, CTO, SuSE. "In including Hummingbird's EIP in our Linux
distribution, we are working together to strengthen Linux's leadership as an
enterprise server platform."
"Considering Linux was the fastest-growing server operating environment
in 1998, this agreement should prove very beneficial for Hummingbird," said
Amie White, senior research analyst, International Data Corporation. "As Linux
extends into new areas within the enterprise, bridging disparate network
environments through a single portal interface becomes essential. Hummingbird
is positioning itself to meet these needs."
Hummingbird is currently exhibiting in the SuSE booth (No. 419) at the
LinuxWorld Conference & EXPO, which is being held until Feb. 4 at the Jacob
Javits Center in New York City.
