Yep by definition we can't achieve true gorilla hood until the value chain(s) (multiple products quite likely) have formed around SiC. THIS IS THE IDEA THAT EXCITES ME MOST ABOUT CREE/SiC (!) and got me to invest earlier than normal. And that is this... the very high likelyhood of emergence of multiple tornados going off at the same time. WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT JUST ONE PRODUCT OR MARKET HERE(!) THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ONLY LIMITED BY CREATIVITY. And... to sweeten the deal even further... if SiC DOES gain widescale acceptance. CREE is, by default, the gorilla in each and every market that is created. UNLESS someone can a) find a better material b) find a cheaper way of making the stuff. That.. was a bet I was certainly willing to take.
