Nathan -

This goes to show you - don't believe everything you read.

Intel did (these are my rough estimates) about $16 Billion in revenue in 1995. They may do $18 - $19 billion this year, 1996.

To get to $60 Billion in 2000, they would have to TRIPLE their revenues in three years. THREE HUNDRED PER CENT!

Do you have any idea how a company this big can grow that fast? Andy Grove sure would like to hear from you if you do.

(By the way, if your idea involves joining the Calli Cartel, cocaine sales or some related get rich quick scheme, Andy probably won't want to hear it.)

Sometimes a little common sense needs to be used, not much, just a little, in estimating future performances of companies, or in interpreting other people's estimates.
