buck, I am crying for some FC industry knowledge! Questions:

1. Do FC standards prevent a company from becoming a Gorilla? Is there opportunity for IPR which represents "Open Proprietary Standards"?

2. Does BRCD's dominance of the FC switch product represent a Gorilla position or simply a jump ahead of the competitors?

3. What is your opinion of the announcement yesterday by Legato Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:LGTO), Network Appliance, Inc. (Nasdaq:NTAP), Quantum|ATL Products, Inc., Spectra Logic Corporation, VERITAS Software Corporation (Nasdaq:VRTS) and Vixel Corporation (Nasdaq:VIXL) :

netapp.com

4. We recently read about a potential threat to FC in the form of a more standardized, potentially faster technology. (I can't find the article!) Any opinion about the future of FC?

Thanks.
