nterspeed (ISPD: news, msgs) said it lost $2.1 million, or 20 cents a share, for its fiscal first quarter, excluding one-time charges. In the same quarter last year, the company lost $1.6 million, or 20 cents. Analysts polled by First Call projected a loss of 22 cents. Shares closed up 3 5/8, or 17 percent, at 24 7/8 and rose to 26 7/16 in the evening session.
