I don't get it.>> I had stated that my great grandfather had been given a farm by Presidents Polk and Taylor for contributions to the Mexican War. nihil said that was impossible as they were rivals. I never said it was given in one lump. It had to be given in two parcels as Taylor wasn't president in 1846 and Polk wasn't president in 1849. But the farm is there and I have the two grants that make it up.
