London Financial Times has story today about platinum producers in South Africa. They have enough reserves, according to the article, to supply world platinum needs for 200 years at today's demand. That is, apparently, they have 200 * 5 million = 1 billion ounces of reserves (my math). In addition, mines are producing platinum at no cost in that the by products completely pay for the cost. Guess this is enough ounces for fuel cells. Apparently AMPLATS has the rights to almost all the platinum in these (potential) reserves.
