Andrew I understood your point. I do not have trading shares in a stock I am long. It is too easy to and to tempting to start messing with the core holdings if one trades the trading shares successfully a couple times. Then one day when the core holding just happens to be traded also whamo it turns out to be the wrong time. It is my policy in almost every case to trade shares in stocks I am not LONG. This way there is no temptation to risk my core positions at all. Just another way to trade. No more correct or wrong than your way. Having the discipline to stick to your trading rules is what will win the day whatever those rules may be. Good trading . :-) MarkC
