Employment was up but the wage index was as expected, and only up 3.5% from January last year to this January.. .and easily outpaced by productivity.

As for the Euro, it is likely a dead cat bounce or a response to the ECB's surprise .24basis point hike aimed at defending the Euro.

Can't tell you about gold.. Most likely involved in the squeeze we saw yesterday in bonds and a result of some turmoil. Lot's of turmoil, but I'm not convinced we're heading for a financial seizure similar to LTCM.

That's my reading.
