Well shoot.
Look at the date when I started this board. 6/28/96.
I initially bought in at $7..in 1995 and have averaged myself up over the years, always expecting ATVI to break out and go higher. To do what ERTS and EIDSY and THQI have done. I've spent countless hours researching, hoping, waiting, learning, cheerleading....but mainly cursing at this unrespected, unloved company that all the analysts say is a screaming buy, but finds deaf ears on Wall Street.
I've watched the progress...the building of a European distribution center, the acquisition of hot licenses, talent. The production and distribution of some truly fantastic games (lots of rushed ones, lots of critically acclaimed failures, lots of bad games). And now we are even seeing improved margins, a business model less dependent on single titles to be hits, an expansion onto the internet (WHEN'S VOICE GOING TO BE AVAILABLE ON ACTIVENET DAMMIT????!).
I hate this company....I really do. I love it, but I hate it. 5 years of lost opportunities because my money was tied up in this loser stock....a great company but a loser stock.
Well I've had it. The chart still looks pretty decent despite the downgrade today from that POSPJ analyst. But my fortunes lie elsewhere. I've kept some shares for old times sake but the rest is history.
