Thread / OT

Since the thread has been quiet, I hope people won't mind if I ask for a bit of advice. I need a new printer for home use. My last one, a Canon Multipass, was a true piece of **** -- it gummed up with ink regardless of how often you cleaned it, and the logic board finally went when the thing was only a little over a year old. Needless to say, I'm not shopping for a Canon product.

I don't need anything fancy -- color is nice, but strictly a frill. Minimal use -- maybe 100-200 pages a month. I just want something dependable and not too expensive to buy or to run.

So -- what printers have people had good luck with?

Again, sorry for the OT post. Replies could come by PM so as not to annoy serious threadsters.

TIA
