No, you're right on base, which is why I don't bother reading the JDSU thread anymore, and I've never bothered with the QCOM one, as I figured it was probably too far gone by the time I bought the stock in Dec.

The JDSU thread was extremely helpful to me when I was investigating JDSU as a purchase last March. The discussion focused almost entirely on the company, it's products, and prospects. Since the publicity and popularity of the stock increased, discussion of more interest to traders than investors became the norm. I mean, of what interest is today's, this week's, or even this month's price gyrations to someone that has a full position and plans on holding for a year or more?

If CREE continues as it has, the posts regarding the company will diminish, replaced by posts regarding the stock. I don't think regulation is proper or the answer.

The G&K thread focuses primarily on the companies, not the stock. Fortunately, most of my holdings are discussed there. Actually, some of my holdings such as CREE & QCOM are because of the discussion there.

So, hopefully many of us will abandon this thread and rely solely on the G&K thread for our CREE purposes. I say "hopefully", because if the investors are "pushed" off this thread by traders, it will have meant that CREE has done extremely well.

CREE Ya,

Marc
