Re:<Could MSFT grab VIA's KX133 reference boards to figure out this weird issue?>

Panic_Mob,

Just a thought, Tell me what you think, Is it possible that MSFT grabbing up reference boards may be the reason for the performance disparity? Any Microsoft gaming system would most likely run on Windows98 or some variation. Tom said in the review that he just dropped everything in and it ran fine the first time but is it possible that he may be simplifying things and that he actually installed chipset drivers etc. If he did and Microsoft is considering this chipset for the XBox then I would wonder if the performance difference could be due to Microsoft's work in tweaking VIA's chipset drivers to improve performance in Windows98. Is this reasonable or am I in left field?

Thanks,

Epinephrine
