Rules like trading limits seem to create opportunities for mischief making by clever arbitragers. Still, the guys on the other side of these deals seem to eventually develop a counter play. I'm wondering if these Frankfurt shares are somewhat like an ADR here in the US but with an underlying single share of 9984 bascking up each share that is traded in Frankfurt. The discrepancies you describe would only operate temporarily in any case. Eventually things should even out. Of course it might be painful to sit there in the interim. <G>.
