Cree vs. EXDS:

I'd like to thank everybody(UF, DS, LL, & Fatboy) who took the time to discuss why they like CREE vs. EXDS. Overall, it looks like people value "things made" over "services rendered", even if the latter is an Internet enabler.

I am way behind in following the thread here, so I hope I haven't left anyone out. DownSouth mentioned in his post that a service provider cannot be a King. Unfortunately, I don't have the FM with me on vacation, but I must say I didn't realize this. I thought anything could be a royalty play; but only proprietary architecture, IPR, or a "lock" could be simian in nature. By exclusion, if a market isn't a gorilla play, then it defaults to a royalty play. What I hear UpNorth saying is that service providers cannot be a royalty play. Can't wait to get home and re-read that section of the manual. Is this other people's understanding too?
